Bike riding is pure joy for those of us who can t seem to get enough of it. Out on the road with the wind in our face is what many of us so enjoy. But what makes it all worthwhile is having a quality bike to ride on. A Cannondale road bike that many people choose is the Super Six EVO.

Cannondale feels their bikes are truly the best performance bikes in the world and many people would highly agree with them. Riders and athletes alike agree that riding a Cannondale bike is a great choice. They feel this way because their bikes make a very positive statement about their owners. Cannondale bikes are made for today s urban cyclists as well as race professionals.

The SuperSix EVO frame is carbon fiber and is said to meet the most vigorous performance standards of Cannondale s test lab as well as Cannondale s professional cycling team. Yet at the same time it is one of the lightest on the market at an extremely low weight of 695g. This weight was checked by Germany s famous testing lab Zedler Fahrradtechnik.

The frame is very stiff and strong and extremely fast to ride. The handle bars are also carbon fiber as well as the seat post. This makes the bike very lightweight even when fully assembled.

Not surprisingly they have been trying to reach the usual goals of lightweight, strong, stiff and aerodynamic. It is always the best to be the lightest and so it no surprise that they aimed for and ended up just below Cervelo s R5CA. They were working on an even lighter frame but it was too expensive to make.

The frame is topped off with SRAM Red components and Zero G Gravitas brakes along with Mavic Kysrium wheels Michelin tires. There will also a Dura-Ace model available.

In terms of its ride it is very quick to get going and it climbs very impressively. Cutting weight is good as long as it keeps its stiffness and that is precisely what it has done. The SuperSix Evo is great at soaking up road vibration and that makes it really comfortable. It also doesn’t jump around or skitter when there is a bad patch in the road so it stays firmly in contact with the road and you stay fully in control.

Even after a long ride on the bike people say they would gladly stay longer and that there were no unusual aches or pains from spending time in the saddle. Then again anyone with the desire to ride doesn t mind spending time in the saddle and always looks forward to more.

The Super Six Cannondale road bike is truly a high quality road bike. It is good enough to match up to any bike and is bound to prove very popular. For Cannondale they are all about doing things right after winning the Giro d’Italia 4 times over the last 12 years. And they plan to return to the Italian Grand Tour this year ready again to ride well and hopefully win aboard their latest update of their carbon fiber race bike.
